Summer Works Scheme 2011
As part of the Government Summer Works Scheme 2011 to help schools reduce their water consumption a number of schools have received grants to install water conservation measures.
We have a range of products that are very cost effective and easy to retrofit into an existing school which will help reduce your water usage immediately.
These include the main water saving products covered by the grant:
Water displacement devices such hippo bags which will help reduce the flush of your toilets by about 3 litres when fitted in a cistern of 9 litres capacity. Fitting variable flushing devices to the toilets in a school can help reduce the volume per flush by as much as 47%.
Water saving push taps are a great water saving device and should be installed in all schools. Once installed the push taps will help reduce the volume of water used by each pupil dramatically while also eliminating the risks of flooding within the school. When installing the push taps SES also recommend you install thermostatic mixing valves these help reduce the volume of hot water required as it allows a mix of hot and cold water to one outlet at a safe working temperature. The thermostatic mixing valve also reduces costs as you only need one push tap on each sink.
One of the most efficient Water Saving Products is our urinal controls or water management systems. In the majority of schools urinals are the highest consumers of water as they are flushing every 10 to 15 minutes 24/7. Installing a Smart Urinal Control helps the school management to reduce these flushing cycles dramatically while also eliminating flushing at night time, weekend and over holiday periods.
All our products are WRAS approved and are suitable for installation in all schools. We provide a free consultation service and look forward to hearing from schools with questions about reducing their water bills/consumption.
So don’t miss out. Pick up the phone for more information and to receive a free quotation tailored to your needs. Alternatively drop us a quick mail and we will give you a call to discuss your school.
