Leak Detection Method for PVC

The Leak Finder System uses hydrophones to cross correlate on PVC pipes. Leaks in PVC pipes have a very low frequency and are difficult to correlate using traditional accelerometers. Hydrophones are required to be introduced directly into the water column and typically they are used at hydrants or valves with suitable connections.

We are the only company in Ireland using this new system. Many correlator companies claim their correlators will work on plastic, but in back to back tests, we have consistently correlated leaks that other correlators cannot. In fact, we have been contracted by clients for leak detection work primarily for it’s performance on PVC and other plastic pipes.
